One of a series of seasonal mosaics created with over 250 children from Cottingley Academy Primary, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
The design is based on the drawings created by all of the children reflecting what Spring means to them and then each child spent approx 20 minutes in small groups adding tiles to the mosaic over the period of one week.

Sue what a lovely and inspiring mosaic. A great introduction to spring. Congratulations to all involved. Pat
Gorgeous as always. Do you do all the cutting yourself or do the children do it under supervision? I am always amazed at the neatness of these school mosaics. Please tell…..
Hi Julee, thanks. I do all the cutting (as this is working with primary school 4-11 yrs) and the children do all the sticking. I have a sample board to explain things like andemento and spacing and we work in small groups at a time. Hope this helps.
