Hearts and Minds Dementia Project (Hull and East Yorkshire Mind) – mosaics

Really looking forward to beginning the Hearts and Minds project today with clients in the early stages of dementia/memory loss living independently within the community (Hull). The project will be using arts and crafts as a means of enhancing social, physcial and creative engagement with others and an opportunity to share knowledge and experience of memory loss. Clients will be accompanied by a carer/friend/relative. Today clients and their partner will mosaic a mirror to take home. The project was created by myself and social worker Vicki Pellat and is kindly being funded by Hull City Council and managed by Hull and East Yorkshire Mind.
