Mosaics with early dementia clients @ Hull & East Yorks Mind

Mosaic by Sue Kershaw

It was really nice to meet such a cheerful group yesterday during the first of our arts & crafts sessions with clients in the early stages of dementia/memory loss. Clients came from across Hull to participate in making their own mosaic mirror.

The group will meet for 10 weeks (as part of a rolling programme) to engage in social and recreational activities leading to the possible creation of an independent peer support group.

Really looking forward to our future sessions where we will create personal life story/memory books, textile wall hangings, greetings cards and glass painting plus much more.

Thank you to Hull City Council for providing funding for the Hearts and Minds project.
