York Live Arts Week 2013 – mosaics with Sue Kershaw

Looking forward to beginning York Live Arts Week commencing 11 Feb when I will be working with four primary schools from across York during which 360 children are now booked in to create their own mini mosaic – a coaster – during a one and a half hour introductory workshop to mosaics.

The project has been kindly funded by York City Council.

Sue, what a lot of children. Well done and good luck with all your workshops. Be nice to see some of the results.

Good luck Sue, lovely to work with the kids and mosaic. Surely you are not grouting all those coasters??

    • Sue Kershaw says:

One of the schools made their coasters to reflect their application for Healthy School Awards and the children will be grouting their own mosaic; while the further three schools created their mosaics with the tiles butted up next to each other to avoid the need to grout.
