This Nascot Wood Junior school mosaic, created by the children, is pictured prior to installation after which the areas where it is fixed to the wall will be covered in tiles.<br />The mosaic measures 200cm x 120cm and was created during a week at the school. worked with the children of Marfleet Primary School in Hull to create this beautiful mosaic celebrating the work of Mrs Foster who retired from the school last Friday after working over 20 years at the school. This formed the centre piece for a celebratory art exhibition - Mrs Foster had been the Arts Co-ordinator. 100x120cm. The theme of the mosaic is Growing Together showing how the children grow in harmony in years, knowledge and stature alongside their school and surrounding nature. Anglesey Primary Academy is the largest primary school I have attended so far, with 630 pupils. A selection of children from each class contributed to the school mosaic featuring their school logo (the goat is featured in a weather vane on a listed building opposite the school) and surrounded by children. Two further panels featuring 11 flags representing the diverse nationalities of children at the school were also created to be hung either side of the main mosaic. Middlestown Junior & Infant Primary School in Wakefield celebrated their new school logo (designed by the children) by creating it in mosaic with mosaic artist Sue Kershaw.
