Adult mosaic workshop at the Dutch House, North Yorkshire facilitated by mosaic artist Sue kershaw

There was some fantastic mosaics produced during yesterday’s adult mosaic workshop at the Dutch House, North Yorkshire. Participants discovered the materials and methods of making mosaics using the direct method while creating their own indoor mosaic. Examples of materials, an explanation of the five steps of making a mosaic using the direct method and examples of my mosaics provided illustration. Tips on suitable designs for mosaics and different mosaic styles were discussed along with future possible projects. Books and resources, including websites, and sources of materials were provided for reference.

The next workshop at the Dutch House will take place on 29 June and 17 August 2013.
